Behind The Artwork

Look closely and you’ll see the birch canopy is built from glitches. Not mistakes, but a way to hold beauty and impermanence together.

In Swedish, there is a word for this feeling, vemod. Not grief, not nostalgia, but the tender ache of knowing everything we love is already moving on.

Now that I’m back in Sweden, a sense of place is returning, and it is beginning to shape the work.
