A monotype is a one-of-one print—that I create by transferring pigment ink from a giclée print directly onto a surface like a gesso board. Unlike an edition, it cannot be repeated because the process itself is destructive: each transfer is unique, shaped by the pressure, texture, and accidents of the moment.

In my practice, monotypes often evolve through layering and intervention. I may rework the transferred surface with paint, varnish, or knife, or feed it back into the machine for further transformation. The result is an original artwork that exists only once—singular, tactile, and unreproducible.

Every piece I create is made to last. I use only the highest artist-grade materials—whether pigment, paper, canvas, board, or sculptural media.

Editions are printed on museum-grade archival fine art paper, using pigment-based processes that preserve chroma, nuance, and intent for generations. The premium frames with UV-glass are Made in Germany from FSC-certified wood. Originals, hand-embellished works, and sculptures are made with the same commitment to artist grade materials, permanence and depth.

Behind the Artwork

At the Centre of Everything stacks gesso boards into a figure: a tall body of colour, a horizon at the collar, a left “arm” with a solitary figure. A fluorescent band cuts through the neck—centre as incision, not ornament. Shift your stance and the line becomes sunset, siren, flatline, eyelid light. It’s the thing that matters because it orders everything else; it’s the last thing we see because thresholds read as lines.

Originals and Hand-Embellished Uniques may require additional time, especially if the piece is part of an ongoing exhibition or in preparation.

If you have any questions or specific timing concerns, please don't hesitate to email me. I’m happy to help.

My work is signed and numbered at the point of creation.

Originals, artist proofs, and hand-embellished uniques are signed by hand, marking the moment my hand enters the surface.

Editions, unless otherwise stated, are signed and numbered during the printing process itself, with the mark integrated directly into the piece. This ensures both consistency and integrity across the edition.

Every work is archived, recorded, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

Each piece is made to order, which means I’m unable to accept returns. However, if your print arrives damaged—or in the very rare case that it has a defect—it will be replaced.

To process a replacement, I’ll ask for a few photos or a short video of the damage. This helps us file a claim with the insured courier service and ensure the issue is properly covered.
