It was carved from Afghan mountains and valued above gold. It is an absolute frequency: a superior refraction of light that pushes the color gamut to its limit. By absorbing long-wave light so profoundly, the blue appears to emanate from within.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMonolith\u003c\/strong\u003e begins with macro photography of clustered PB29, \u003cstrong\u003esynthetic ultramarine blue\u003c\/strong\u003e pigments. The physical pigment is captured, then pushed through algorithmic loops and digital refinement. The additive process marries the laws of physics with the rules of code, introducing new patterns and fracture.
